Gastric Sleeve

Gastric Sleeve (GS) may be the option for patients at high risk due to body weight (a BMI of 40 or greater) or medical conditions. With the GS procedure, the surgeon creates a small, sleeve-shaped stomach about the size of a banana. A GS procedure may be the first step in a two-part treatment, with a gastric bypass performed later.
